The initial three-volume release, by Tokuma Shoten, was obtained by Young King Comics and re-released as a two-volume set. They have different cover art and bonus editorial manga.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Vash the Stampede is confronted by a man known as Legato Bluesummers who warns him of 12 Gunmen who will come after him. One of them, Monev the Gale who confronts Vash and swears the man is like Diablo. Once he's taken care of Vash sequentially faces off against two more of the promised Gunmen. In the process of all of that, he meets a new ally a minister by the name of Wolfwood and creates a giant hole in the 5th moon.
