Return of the Blue Wing of Death (死を運ぶ 蒼き風 再び, Shi o Hakobu Aokikaze Futatabi) is the twenty-seventh chapter of the Trigun manga. It is also the seventh chapter of Trigun Maximum.

Summary

A large man with a mohawk named Descartes is released from captivity in order to fulfill a task to have his sentence reduced. Retrieving one of his boomerangs, Descartes accidentally kills one of his guards. His guard watch officer then threatens him claiming he'll detonate his collar. Descartes apologizes and readies himself to throw the boomerang. However, Descartes stops when he sees Gray the Ninelives and Midvalley the Hornfreak in the distance. Noting their presence the officer order Descartes to kill them and he happily obliges by throwing his boomerang. Midvalley dodges the boomerang, but Gray is not so lucky as he takes it head-on causing the building he was standing in front of to be destroyed. When Descartes goes to retrieve his boomerang, Gray appears from the ground and stabs him with his weapon. Music from Midvalley's saxophone then fills the air and Descartes along with the nearby prison guards are all massacred. Deafened by the sounds of Midvalley's saxophone, the remaining guards are overwhelmed and perplexed by the sounds. Hoppered the Gauntlet then appears before them all and warns them to retreat or else. However, they're unable to as Legato manipulates them all. He has the remaining men all consolidate themselves into a single van and comments on how he wants to show Vash hell.

Elsewhere, Sensei and Brad rest at a restaurant and recall how Vash turned down their request to visit their home. Unbeknownst to them, one of the bugs that pestered Brad was really a puppet controlled by Leonof the Puppet-Master. He then reports Vash's location to Legato.
