The Eye of Michael is a cult that worships Knives and provides him with assassins. Members take titles reflective of their guns. Not much is known about the origins of the group. They appear to have been based on Catholic teachers.
Full members are modified to drastically increase their physical strength and speed beyond human limits, and to gain advanced regeneration supplemented by drug vials for extreme wounds. However, the modifications cause members to age at an accelerated pace. In addition, members are trained to continuously analyze opponents and adapt to situations, such that the same tricks will never work twice.
The Punisher is a large cross-shaped gun wielded by only the best in the order. It has a machine gun in front and a rocket launcher in the back. The side arms contain the ammunition.
In the anime, the side arms of the cross open up to reveal a storage bin for pistols.
It has been noted by many characters that the Punisher is a very heavy weapon. Wolfwood commented on this with "That's because it's so full of mercy".
Similar in size and design to the Punisher, the Chapel is a large cross-shaped machine gun, with four spiked blades set around the barrel. The alternate fire of the gun launches the blades.
Similar to the Punisher, the Double Fang is cross-shaped, however it is much smaller and lighter than the Punisher, resembling a light submachine gun. The Double Fang is capable of shooting both forwards and backwards at the same time.
In the manga, the order has a special drug that allows them to regenerate from fatal wounds. The side effect of this drug is that it ages the user. Overdosing in the drug can cause death.
