Day In Day Out is the second bonus chapter of the Trigun manga's Tokuma Shoten release. It is the first bonus chapter in the manga's Shōnen Gahōsha release.
Summary[]
At the start of this chapter, we gain insight into Vash’s daily routine. Leaving the room that he rented under the assumed name of John P. Smith, Vash enjoys a cup of coffee and reads the local paper. He then plays a game of chess with an old man and later plays with the local children. While playing with the kids, a man wearing sunglasses and riding a motorcycle nearly runs over him. The man doesn’t apologize for his action, spits at Vash’s direction, and goes on his way.
That night, while Vash enjoys the music playing on the radio an emergency announcement is played. It details that the humanoid typhoon is within the vicinity. The man from earlier named Sonic Sodom pays no heed to it and enjoys the presence of his sexy lady. Sequentially a scene occurs involving Sonic and the barmaid, but Vash stops him. This is noted to completely avert a disaster with no lives taken in the process.
