Elendira the Crimsonnail (エレンディラ・ザ・クリムゾンネイル, Erendira za Kurimuzoneiru?) is referred to as the lost thirteenth in the manga. She is considered the strongest of the Gung-ho-Guns.
Appearance[]
Manga[]
Elendira is a tall and attractive woman with blonde hair. She seems to wear different outfits each time she makes an appearance, with her most iconic outfit being an all white outfit with a long coat and a small pillbox hat. The Crimsonnail also wears a full body suit under her clothes, allowing her to move faster when she is in a fight.
Personality[]
In both Trigun Stampede and Trigun Maximum, Elendira is loyal to Millions Knives. At times, she shows jealousy toward Legato Bluesummers. The relationship between The Crimsonnail and Bluesummers can be described as competitive in loyalty to Knives. They do whatever they can to get the title of most loyal to their boss.
Biography[]
Elendira the Crimson Nail first appears at the end of volume 5. She is considered the most powerful of the Gung-Ho Guns, referred to as "Lost Number Thirteen" by Wolfwood. Elendira shoots giant red nails from a large briefcase that transforms into a crossbow, with preternatural force and speed. She is also capable of projecting her killing intent to seemingly create illusions of destruction in her prey and break their will. Elendira is a trans woman, and normally wears feminine clothing and a pillbox hat. However, underneath her outer garments she also wears restraining armour, and after disabling it, she is able to move at an even faster speed.
As the strongest Gun, Elendira is the only one who can stand up to Legato Bluesummers, but she also regards Legato with a great deal of jealousy, noting that the fact that Legato alone of the followers of Knives is not assigned a number as a part of the Gung-ho Guns suggests that Legato is more important to Millions Knives. She regards herself as being just as loyal to Knives as Legato, and often expresses her desire to kill Legato and their resentment of Legato's apparently preferential treatment by Knives.
At the end of volume 7, she, along with Legato, Chapel, Livio, and Zazie the Beast board the plant-absorbing airship, the "Ark", and cruise about the planet-destroying Human civilization. Elendira acts as a regular defense aboard the arc, using her briefcase to shoot down missiles and dispatching several attacking airships. In the final battles, she travels ahead to gain control of the human army's nuclear weapons, where she meets and fights with Livio the Double Fang and Razlo the Tri-Punisher of Death, who defeats and kills her. Legato later uses her dead body to threaten the life of Livio after Legato's duel with Vash.
