Summary[]
With Vash being victorious by a technicality, they all get the okay to stop the Flourish. The ship is too damaged to just hit the brakes. The steam pressure is too high, and the plants are overheating. Vash and Kite meet up again before parting ways to let Kite deal with the boiler and Vash to deal with the plants. Kaite's job is easy, but for the heat. He only has to navigate a rat nest of steam pipes to release the pressure valve.
Vash greets the plant as a sibling and proceeds to apparently synchronize with the plant and put them both in a sort of suspension. The ship won’t brake before it goes off the cliff, but B.D.N. re-enters the fray, wedging his own sand cruiser underneath the front of the Flourish and ramming it into the wall of the canyon, stopping it on the brink.
Come morning, Vash and Kite survey the view off the cliff, and Kite starts singing an old song. Rem's favorite song, prompting Vash to cry.
The caravans tagging along with the flourish finally catch up and get them all to May City. Vash was supposedly unaccounted for.
